Once again the Drake Devonshire in Prince Edward County provides the perfect backdrop for an elopement. The Drake, located in Wellington Ontario, is typically known for it’s summertime feel. With it’s back patio, bright decor and fresh food, this place is a summer hot spot in Prince Edward County.
This time the elopement took place a chilly Tuesday afternoon in December, with a magical winter sunset, making it easy to document Dana & Fil’s special moments.
When I asked Dana & Fil why they wanted to come to the County to get married, the answer was simple: COVID wasn’t going to stop this new chapter they were destined to begin and the Drake Devonshire provided a safe place for them get it done in style!
While we’re on the topic, I can’t help but stress how important it is to choose vendors who are local to the area when planning your elopement.
Now, more than ever, it’s important to be safe and travel when it’s only necessary to do so. Asking a photographer, officiant or other wedding vendor to travel multiple hours to be a part of your intimate moments is risky.
If you need help planning your elopement, I am more than willing and qualified to point you in a fun direction, both with unique ways on making your day special and vendor referrals.
For example, Craig Logan is not only an amazing officiant capable of weaving a ceremony into something really special, he’s local and reliable.
By working with local professionals, you’re not only supporting the hard work we pour into our hometown, but you’ll experience what it truly means to County Up!
