Last spring I met Valerie (wedding coordinator extraordinare!) at Occasions By The Bay and I did a quick venue review based on my first impressions. Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of photographing a wedding there with Tarina & Justin – if you remember, they were the brave couple that ventured out in -20 degree weather for their engagement session at Vanderwater Conservation Area last winter and they’ve been awesome to work with ever since!
This venue has some lovely potential and Tarina & Justin certainly cashed on that potential. I loved their big white floral centre pieces and their idea of a cocktail reception instead of a large sit down dinner. It was pretty much a perfect day.
After a golden sunset ceremony, we started to lose light quickly, but not before we traveled to the barn for photos at the Quinte Conservation Area just a few minutes away near Walbridge Loyalist Road. The light was perfect! We had to work quickly, but that part was easy for these two – seriously a smokin’ couple.
The day was filled with nervous giggles, snack packs, selfie sticks, eye lashes on fleek, sunshine and best friends – I’m not sure a couple could ask for more.
Enjoy!
