What could be better than a fall wedding in the country just north of Kingston Ontario?  Better yet, what could be better than a fall wedding in the country with warm sunshine and just the right amount of colour on the trees?  I don’t know… maybe watching all this play out while eating lavender cookies in the warm sunshine…

Well, dreams can come true I suppose, because that is exactly what Kate & Brandon’s day was like this past September and it was perfect!

The boys got ready at a beautiful lake view cottage named “Randomwood” in Verona, while the girls got ready at Kate’s family cottage just up on the road.  As soon as I arrived at the boys’ cottage I could smell bacon, eggs and toast, just what a cottage on a Saturday morning should smell like and the day just got better from there on out with sun, fall colours and beautiful couple surrounded by the closest friends and family.

Once Brandon and Kate had their first look at the family cottage, we headed to the Colden Family Farm in Glenburnie for the ceremony, outdoor sunset cocktail hour, tent reception and barn dance, complete with twinkle lights and tools hanging on the wall.

This wedding was simple, but absolutely memorable and beautiful at the same time.  I cannot thank Kate & Brandon enough for trusting me to capture their wedding day and every time I eat a lavender cookie, I still think of them and the warm fall day they got married.
