Where do I begin!?
My job allows me to encounter some of the most incredible human beings, so let’s just start there.
Rona & Miles from the beginning had a detailed vision of their day. I won’t lie, I was a tad worried when I received their 20+ page itinerary of the wedding day, but in all fairness to them…. there was A LOT of moving parts to make their day special. From food, to makeup, to the performances, video features, dances and their beautiful and traditional Filipino ceremony. No detail was forgotten, and in turn, I will never forget this couple!
The best part about their fun-filled day, they gave me complete freedom to play as much as I pleased with photography. What happens when you give a Wedding Photographer complete freedom with two beautiful people….? You get monster-sized 2 Part blog posts because I can’t seem to narrow down my favourite moments. So their story is being told over two blog posts. Stay tuned for the Part II to be posted soon!
Before I go any further, I owe a HUUUGE thank you to Kelly Taylor. A lovely Prince Edward County Photographer who I JUST met when I moved to Belleville 3 months ago. Not only was she eager to jump on board, she did a stellar job assisting me with whatever I needed during this busy day. (Kelly, you were a godsend and I loved working with you!)
They got ready at The North York Novotel and then headed to the Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church for their traditional Filipino ceremony, complete with the wedding veil, wedding cord and even a super cute Coin Bearer to hold the arrhae. If you would like know more, here’s some information on wedding customs in the Philippines.
Once they officially tied the knot, Rona & Miles celebrated in style at the Eglinton Grand, which I will post soon! In the meantime, enjoy the story of the first half of their day here:
