This was my last wedding of 2013 and it’s probably my most memorable thanks to Mother Nature. Love her or hate her, she’s always there. Luckily, I was working with a lovely couple who knew the benefits of braving the cold air for photos.
Rebecca and Mike celebrated their wedding day during every kind of weather. There was snow, rain and even little hail pellets which resulted in slush and mud e v e r y w h e r e… But photos were an important part of their day and they weren’t going to let Ma Nature bring them down.
This was my first time shooting at the Tralee Wedding Facility in Caledon (owned by One99 in Orangeville) and I have to commend the staff for all their hard work that day. The weather made their day challenging, but everyone was smiling and there was a great sense of teamwork throughout the day.
I love this venue! Not only are the people at Tralee Wedding Facility amazing, but the property is huge and completely private. It’s the perfect spot for a country wedding!
By the end of the day, my feet were soaked, my voice was completely gone from shooting in the damp air and I was exhausted, but I poured everything I had into this wedding to make sure Rebecca & Mike had amazing photos and personally, I feel it’s some of my best work yet.
So, bring it on 2014 because I plan on shooting like this again and again…
