With Wedding Season fast approaching, I thought I would blog about something to inspire my brides:
Last fall I had the most wonderful opportunity to collaborate with Bernard Thibault Floral Artistry, an amazing floral artist located at 689 Broadview Avenue in Toronto.
You have to check out Bernard’s boutique, even if you’re not from the Toronto area, it is totally worth the drive to check out! Trust me, with it’s old world tin ceilings, soft lighting, feathers and the fresh scent of floral arrangements makes me feel like I’ve walked into a Marie Antoinette movie. I’m not kidding, it’s gorgeous! The best part? Bernard always take the time to make his window displays seasonal and fresh.
Something else I appreciate about Bernard, is his vision and ability to make unique arrangements. Also, can I just take a minute to rave about his boutonnieres! Fellow photographers, you will love this: he makes a magnetic boutonniere. YES! That means you can do your job as a photographer instead of spending time pinning those damn things on every groomsmen because they’re clueless how to.
Which reminds me: How To Pin a Boutonniere
When I approached Bernard about a collaboration I told him I wanted to see some variety in floral arrangements to inspire brides again and he agreed. Then he whipped these up for me to photograph:
First things first, the summer inspired centre piece with a beautiful white rose and orchid wreath:
The boutonniere *heart*:
This wreath bouquet is unique and gorgeous, perfect for someone who is creative and fun:
Hope I’ve inspired you for the upcoming season! I know I’m excited!
